 In the framework of the 75th anniversary of the raid on Dieppe the War Heritage Institute presents its first temporary exhibition: Dieppe. Tribute to a raid. It illustrates a lesser-known episode of the Second World War: the raid on Dieppe on August 19, 1942.

A total of 99 items from the Royal Military Museum collections (Brussels), the city of Dieppe, Dieppe societies and private collectors enable us to retrace the stages of Operation Jubilee. On December 24 and 31 the museum will close its doors at 2 p.m. and last ticket sales will be at 1 p.m.

Dunkirk by director Christopher Nolan was released on July 19 and the movie tells the exciting story of Operation Dynamo. In May 1940, at the beginning of the Second World War, some 400,000 British, Canadian, French and Belgian soldiers are trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk and surrounded by German troops. Operation Dynamo (running from May 26 till June 3, 1940) is to set the allied soldiers free.
