On saturday 21 and sunday 22, the museum will welcome aviation passionates from all ages for a week-end full of activities in the aviation hall : travelling shows, creative workshops, "Belle Époque" photography studio, child games, meeting with specialists... and many more surprises!

On April 28 and 29, 2016, Belgian and foreign speakers will present their most recent findings on the monitoring and evaluation of interior climate in museums. During these two days air quality will be analysed and the influence of air on collections will be determined. The colloquium will also discuss the first results of the AIRCHECQ research project currently running at the Royal Military Museum.
On Saturday March 5, 2016 Brussels will once again be hit by its annual bout of fever! During Museum Night Fever the Military Museum organizes a large-scale War Party. More than thirty contemporary artists reflect upon violence, each in a personal way. The result of course is a ginormous clash of interventions. Be targeted by a human drone in Texas or by the Love Beam, march along from Ypres to Istanbul, be enthralled by dancing and meditating spirits in a melting pot of techno, black metal, choirs, images and conspiracy theories…
The introduction of a fee-paying entrance of course implies some refurbishment and renovation works. These will start on Tuesday October 13, 2015 and will run till March 2016. During that time span the main entrance will be closed and the Museum will be accessible through the Great Hall.
The exhibition “Waterloo 1815-2015. Europe challenged” closed its doors on January 31, 2016. For the move-down of collection pieces and the reorganisation of the gallery the panorama from the arcades will be inaccessible to the public until February 26.
